Multimedia artist Matthew Biederman mixes projection, sculpture and video, and addresses notions dealing with the perception, fabrication and classification of the colours that structure contemporary existence in the context of our computerized and mediatized daily life. Thus, in R + G + B, he deconstructs the colours that fill our computer screens into rapidly shifting data codes – numbered proportions of red, green, blue – to question their true existence.
